FAQ

  • How early should we plan on arriving?

    Camp will officially begin at 9:45 AM with a rolling registration period beginning at 9:00 AM. It would be best to show up at any point between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.

  • Is this an overnight camp?

    No. All Sessions are day camps.

  • What equipment will I need?

    All positions will need to bring cleats, shorts, shoulder pads, a helmet, and a mouthpiece.

  • Do I need to bring my own equipment?

    Equipment can be rented for $35 at registration on the day of camp. Cash only

  • Are trainers going to be present and available?

    Yes. Trainers will be available and on the field during all practices as well as pre and post-practice for any needs.

  • What happens if I sign up and find out later that I cannot attend?

    • For all refunds requested more than 7 days from the camp date you will receive $100 in return.
    • For all refunds requested three to seven days before camp, you will receive $50 in return.
    • Cancellations within 72 hours of camp will not be able to be processed in any amount.
  • Can parents attend camp?

    Yes, we encourage Parents and Family Members to attend and watch, but you will not be allowed to walk onto the football field during camp though.

  • What if I lost the health forms?

    Please email a copy of your camper’s physical exam to Jansen Petagna in case you forget to bring it on the day of camp. See Health Form section for more information.

  • Where will registration take place?

    Registration for the Al Bagnoli Football Camps will take place at the Baker Athletic Complex located at 505 West 218th Street (on the corner of Broadway and 218th). Signs will direct you from there.

  • Are there places to eat near the Athletics Facilities?

    Being in NYC brings you many food choices. The following are a few of the choices nearby:

  • Are the Athletic Facilities near campus?

    Yes. The Baker Athletic Complex is located approximately 5 miles from the University’s campus. It is a short drive, or a direct subway trip on the 1 train that drops you at the entrance of (215th station to 116th street)Street and Broadway).

  • Will the locker room be available for campers to shower afterwards?

    Yes. For players needing to shower before a flight please bring a change of clothes and our team lockerroom will be available for your use.

  • Do health forms have to be completed before camp?

    Yes. Campers will not be allowed to participate without record of a physical examination that has been completed within the last year. See Health Form section for more information.

  • Is there any on-campus housing for campers?

    Unfortunately, no.

  • What do I do if I have not had or cannot find a copy of my physical examination?

    Speak with your doctor in order to obtain a copy of a physical examination or request an appointment to complete one. An example form can be found here.

Health Forms Information

2017 Health Form (.pdf)

In order to participate in camp, each camper must submit record of a physical exam.

This form must:

  • Be submitted before the first day of camp
  • Be signed by a licensed physician
  • Have been completed within the last year of the camp date
  • Include immunization records
  • Examples can include school or pediatrician physical evaluation forms

Please send physical exam forms to Eric Hahn (e.hahn@columbia.edu) before the first day of camp.
